Orna Logistics
Terms of service
Last updated 8 September 2026.
Scope
These terms apply to expedited courier and delivery services provided by Orna Logistics, and to the use of this website. Booking a delivery means you accept them. Where a written quote or a signed agreement between us says something different, that document wins.
Nothing here replaces the specifics of your quote. If a term matters to your shipment, ask us about it before you book rather than after.
Quotes and booking
Quotes are given on the basis of the information you provide: the pickup and delivery addresses, the size, weight and nature of the load, the handling required, and the deadline. If any of that turns out to be materially different in reality — more pieces, a heavier item, a delivery on the third floor with no lift, a location we were not told about — the price may change, and we will tell you before doing the work rather than surprising you on the invoice.
A quote is an offer, not a reservation. A job is booked when we confirm it. Because we operate a single dedicated vehicle, availability is genuinely finite: we would rather decline a job than accept one we cannot do properly, and we will tell you honestly if a deadline is not achievable.
What the price includes
Quoted prices are all-in for the job described. Fuel, tolls and standard loading and securing are inside the number. We do not add fuel surcharges, residential fees, after-hours multipliers or accessorial charges after the fact.
Waiting time beyond a reasonable period at pickup or delivery, additional stops, or a return leg not included in the original booking are chargeable, and will be agreed with you before they are incurred wherever it is practical to do so.
Your responsibilities as shipper
You are responsible for describing the shipment accurately, for packaging it adequately for road transport, and for making sure somebody is present and authorised to release it at pickup and to receive it at delivery.
Where a location has access requirements — a dock reservation, a certificate of insurance held by building management, a gate code, an appointment window, a named contact — you need to tell us in advance. A vehicle held at a closed dock or a locked gate is waiting time, and it is the single most avoidable cost on any job.
What we do not carry
We are a dedicated van service, not a specialist carrier for every category of freight. We do not transport hazardous materials or dangerous goods requiring placarding, live animals, illegal items, unaccompanied cash or bearer instruments, firearms or ammunition, or human remains.
If you are unsure whether something falls into one of these, tell us what it is on the quote call. We will either confirm we can carry it or point you toward somebody who is properly equipped and licensed to.
Timing
We quote honest estimated times based on distance, route and the conditions we expect, and we build the route around your deadline. We are not able to guarantee arrival times against events outside our control — traffic incidents, weather, road closures, mechanical failure, or delays caused at the pickup or delivery location.
What we do commit to is telling you promptly when something changes. If an ETA moves, you hear it from us while the van is still on the road, not afterwards.
Care, custody and claims
Your shipment travels in an enclosed, locked, exclusive-use vehicle with a single driver from pickup to delivery. It is not co-loaded, transferred between drivers, or staged at a terminal. Proof of delivery — recipient name, timestamp and photographs — is provided on every job.
Cargo liability is limited, and the applicable coverage and limit for your shipment are stated on your quote confirmation. Where a shipment's value exceeds that limit, tell us before booking so that appropriate arrangements can be made; high-value freight moved without that conversation is carried at the standard limit. A certificate of insurance is available on request.
Claims for loss or damage must be reported to us as soon as the loss or damage is discovered, and in any event promptly after delivery, with photographs and the delivery documentation. Damage noted at the point of delivery is far easier to resolve than damage reported weeks later, so please check the shipment while the driver is present.
We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses — lost profits, missed contracts, downtime or similar — arising from a delayed or failed delivery.
Cancellation
Cancel before the vehicle has been dispatched and there is no charge. Once the van is en route to a pickup, or has collected and is en route to a delivery, the work is under way and the job is chargeable in whole or in part depending on how far it has progressed. We will always tell you where that line sits at the moment you call.
Payment
Payment terms are stated on your quote or invoice. Accounts are available to established commercial customers; otherwise payment is due on completion of the job.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, and any dispute arising from them is subject to the courts of Broward County, Florida.
